How to Track Monitor Network / Internet Usage

Many a times I wondered how can I track my Internet usage so, that I won't face issue of low bandwidth by crossing the limit.

Here I documented few tools using which you can monitor and get the catalogue of data usage  on it.
Tools
1.) Download NetStat Live  application from AnalogX. Install it. Rest is self explanatory. It gives you log of data usage and speed.

2.)Download and Install NetMeter to get the hourly, weekly and monthly data usage analysis.

3.) Download and Install ZDnet's Internet Access Monitor

4.) If you a Mac user, then you can download an awesome free utility SurplusMeter. SurplusMeter will keep track of download limit, Connection Type, mini-mode, Allowance or limit left, System Preferences and Account setting provides various good options to track/monitor internet speed, and data usage.
